???From a single vineyard in the Blind River sub-region south of the Awatere Valley. Deliberately early harvested to retain acidity and restrict alcohol level. Floral wine (lavender, jasmine?) with a hint of lime and a slight nutty influence. More about texture than taste with surprising palate weight. An adventurous style with assertive acidity and potential for development.?????91 Points / 4 Stars.??Bob Campbell MW, Real Reviews.????
New Zealand assemblage ??? JancisRobinson.com?????A wonderful Kabinett-style Riesling with a balance that I think it is rare to find in the southern hemisphere where the fruit is so often the star. Limey citrus freshness along with a dry, stony texture, the acid/sugar balance is worthy of a fine German Kabinett. There are some hints of development here but hard to describe as they are still a long way from flagrant ???kerosene-like??? flavours. This has purity and concentration as well as impeccable balance.?????17.5 Points.??Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson.com??
