FIELD OF COAL The Charbonni??re Domaine was bought by Eug??ne Maret in 1912 since remained in the family. Today, Michel has 4 hectares of Vacqueyras 33, located on plateau of the "high scrub" of Sarrians. ASSEMBLY 60% Grenache brings color and intense aromas to the wine. 40% Syrah gives the aging potential. PLOTS The soil is mainly composed of clay and giving decalcaire a warm red color, it is covered with pebbles. this feature geology is conducive to very low yields of grapes concentrated in color, tannins and aromas. WINE AND LIVESTOCK - Manual harvesting and sorting the field on a vibrating table; - Stemming and crushing grapes; - Vinification of Grenache and Syrah separate; - Fermentation 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the vintage, - Daily pumping, shedding or trappings every 2 days - Malolactic fermentation in wooden vats truncated. - Aging in wooden vats truncated of 6 to 8 months, depending on the vintage.
