Tasting Notes:

19/20 - Jancis Robinson MW
"From a relatively cool growing season. All hand picked, meticulously sorted and aged 15 months in French barriques of which 24% were new. Pale ruby. Very refined nose. Very pure and delicate. So different from the norm! Muscular start with real structure but then really beautiful fruit. There's wonderful restraint about this wine and each mouthful lasts and lasts. Beautiful is the best word, not just for flavour but for texture. Transparent, jewel-sweet and beautifully balanced. There is a little spice but so, so much more subtlety than in most non Burgundian Pinots. What a delight to taste this. It is so nuanced that I am loath to pick out particular aromas though it has the violets of great red burgundy. Well done, Hallowed Ground, for getting a UK allocation of this wine."

93/100 - Bob Campbell MW:  "Pure and powerful Pinot Noir with a mix of fruit (cherry, plum, a suggestion of wild herbs) and savoury (oak, spice and woodsmoke) flavours. Still fairly closed but suggesting great potential."
