The Mas Martinet Bru ('Bru' meaning 'dark'), comes from vines located near the town of Falset and facing towards Montsant, enjoying a comparatively fresh microclimate. A delightful blend of 40% Garnacha (Grenache), and 40% Syrah complemented by 10% each Cabernet and Merlot.
"A particularly ripe vintage in 2011 has lead to one of the most ripe and ready reds they've produced for a few years. It has a sheer abundance of wild berry flavours; blackberry, black raspberry, and dried strawberry. It has a real intensity to it - like preserved red cherries dipped in a dark chocolate sauce. The palate is rich, expressive and bold with punchy tannins. There is moderate acidity, here, that keeps it refreshing and appealing. A dried red fruit and earthy tone on the finish."
