Ochota Barrels Impeccable Disorder Pinot Noir 2018 750ml
Pinot Noir from an organically farmed North facing 777 clone vineyard (1 acre) in the Piccadilly Valley.
Adelaide Hills, South Australia
616 bottles filled. 12.5% Alc.
100% whole bunch. Indigenous yeast ferment for 8 days. Pigeage day 1 then just gentle cap wetting daily. Pressed directly to a 1yo chassin PN puncheon. Racked to bottle with minimal so2 (F13/T41).
Luscious and broody but still refined with elegant femininity and characteristic long rustic pinosity. Gun powder and texture like fine sand are swept up by the bullets of complex red fruits indicative of a well farmed Adelaide Hills pinot patch. Weirdly gorgeous! - Taras Ochota

13 May, 2019 – "This has a superbly fragrant nose with attractively complex, spicy and gently gamy nuances, wrapped around a core of vibrant red cherries and raspberries. The palate offers plenty of fleshy depth and mouthwatering detail with such charming fruit and a fine array of crunchy wild cherries and strawberries. Drink or hold."
